1.  Special Education District Advisory Committee Meeting!  For those of you who were unable to attend our meeting last Thursday 4/19/12, I have attached PowerPoint.
 
 
 
 2.  It is time for our SELPA Community Advisory Council Parent Conference: No Limit to Success!  Come out and join us on April 28, 2012.

"No Limit to Success" is the title of the 7th Special Education conference sponsored by the Foothill SELPA Community Advisory Committee.  The Foothill SELPA serves the special education students and their families from Burbank, Glendale and La Canada Unified School Districts. 

 

A wide range of topics, including autism, behavior management, transition to the world of work, parents’ rights, learning disabilities and assistive technology will be covered during the breakout sessions.  A special focus of this year’s conference will be on building parents skills and knowledge.

 

California State elected representatives Senator Carol Liu and Assemblymember Anthony Portantino will be there to welcome the parents. 

 

There will also be an Exhibitor Fair with many local agencies and resources represented.

 

All parents and teachers are encouraged to attend, especially those involved in special education.
