DIRECTIONS
Updated Directions on how to set up and use LunchBox to pre-pay lunches using the Paypal online payment system (download user guide at bottom):
- Click on the "Login to LunchBox" link above.
- You will be taken to a screen to Log In or to sign up for Lunch Box-Paypal. Click on the “Sign up” button if this is your first time accessing Lunchbox for your child and you need to set up an account.
- Enter your e-mail address as directed, your own name (parent or legal guardian's name) and your student’s 9 digit district permanent ID number which you may obtain from your school’s office. Don't worry if you get an error message at this point.
- Call the district technology office at 952-8333 to activate your Lunchbox prepay account and you will be given your initial password over the telephone.
- Go back to the Lunchbox Sign-In screen and log in to Lunchbox with your user id (your email address) and the initial password given you when you called the district tech office.
- Click on the link to General Maintenance in the upper left corner of the Lunchbox welcome screen and you will have two choices: 1) "Change Password" and 2) "Iinternet Participants".
- Change your initial password to a more secure password from the "Change Password" screen.
- Access your child's accounts by selecting "Internet Participants"
- You may add additional children by selecting "Add Participant" from the Internet Participants screen.
- Click on your child's name under the Internet Participant page to access your child's lunch accounts where you can view how much money is left in the account and make deposits to that account using a credit card or a Paypal account.
- To add money to your child's account electronically, type in the amount you wish to deposit using Paypal under the "amount to deposit" text box which is located below the "Internet Deposit" heading and click on the "Submit" button to initiate a PayPal deposit into your child's account.
- Please note that you will be charged a small service fee depending on the amount of deposit. This is usually less than two dollars and is charged by PayPal who will handle the transaction. Verify the deposit amount and the service fee and if you agree to the amounts, click on the "Deposit Funds" button.
- You will be transferred to a Paypal website linked to Lunchbox but managed entirely by Paypal. Here you can input your credit card or Paypal account information to complete the electronic deposit of funds into your child's account. Do note that from this point onwards, you are interacting with Paypal and not with the district nor with Lunchbox.
- IMPORTANT: You can only add funds via Paypal to your childrens' accounts through the links here on the Lunchbox program (starting with the "Submit" button under "Internet Deposit" on the lunchbox website.) Do not create a shortcut directly to Paypal to make future payments because the payment must be initiated from the Lunchbox webpages in order for the funds to be credited properly to your child's account. Direct links to Paypal that bypass the Lunchbox webpages will cause your deposits to be improperly processed resulting in no transfer of credit into your child's account.
