Announcements

Dear parents:

During the winter break Emily and I did a mass mailing of several documents to all parents of children with special needs in our district. One of the documents was a Special Education Self Review Parent Survey from the California Department of Education (CDE). We are happy to report that we have received over 100 surveys! Please keep them coming!

Recently the Foothill SELPA ( Special Education Local Planning Area for Glendale, Burbank and La Canada School Districts), sent out invitation to an Input meeting and a another survey with small revisions by the CDE. If you have already filled out a survey, you do not need to fill out another one. However, we would like you to attend the Input Meeting at Wilson Middle School auditorium, 1221 Monterey Road, Glendale on 1/31/08 from 7 pm to 9 pm.

The Input Meeting is for parents and guardians of special education students. This will be a chance for you to tell us about the special education services your child has had.
