The Business Services Department has responsibility for various segments of the District’s business. So that we can serve you better, each staff member has assigned duties. The reason for this delegation of responsibility is to provide you with the best service possible. Ms. Diane Clinton | Director of Fiscal Services Ms. Clinton has responsibility for budget preparation and monitoring, oversight of payroll, benefits, attendance accounting, accounting for all funds including Food Services and ASBs, multi-year projections, and for ensuring accuracy in the district’s financial reporting. This person reports directly to the Superintendent. | Ms. Kim Bergner | Administrative Assistant Ms. Bergner provides assistance to the Chief Business Officer, coordinates Mandated Costs reimbursements, reviews purchase orders, handles purchasing inquiries, works with the Maintenance Department on requests for bids and quotes, coordinates District leases, coordinates Board agenda items, ensures accurate and timely County and State compliance reporting and is the direct contact for property and liability insurance. Mrs. Bergner reports directly to the Superintendent | Ms. Jackie Ong | Accounting Analyst Ms. Jackie Ong ensures that State and County Office reports are filed timely and accurately, oversees reporting of the District’s Average Daily Attendance (ADA); processes Regional Occupational Program (ROP) claims and reports; monitors the junior and high school ASB, maintains the Human Resources employee database and processes Cafeteria month-end closing and Federal and State Claim Forms. Ms. Ong reports directly to the Director of Fiscal Services. | Mrs. Theresa Jimenez | Payroll and Benefits Technician Mrs. Jimenez has responsibility for processing payroll for all employees, maintaining accurate records, providing up-to-date information to all employees, processing all payroll deductions, preparing and filing required reports, maintaining sick and vacation accruals and staying abreast of changes that impact the payroll system, handles Health & Welfare Benefits enrollment and billing reconciliation. This person reports directly to the Director of Fiscal Services. | Mr. George Slocum | Accounting Technician Mr. Slocum records and deposits cash collections; monitors all accounts receivables, including facilities use invoices, transfers, substitute teacher costs to funding sources, transfers warehouse and custodial requisitions to site budgets, and distributes all county reports. Mr. Slocum reports directly to the Director of Fiscal Services. | Mrs. Sandy Miller | Accounting Technician Mrs. Miller ensures that payments to District vendors are made in a timely manner, handles payments for all construction projects; has full responsibility for handling bookkeeping for the Food Services Department; and is the liaison for handling purchases funded by the District’s PTAs.
