8. Main conflict in the book: King Henry VIII of England dies and one of his daughters, Mary, takes the throne. Queen Mary thinks that her half-sister, Princess Elizabeth, is trying to overthrow her and claim the throne.
9. Setting of the book: (place and time) England, 1558.
10. Main Characters and part they play in the book:
(1) Mary: She becomes queen and is afraid of being overthrown and threatens anyone who tries to harm her.
(2)Elizabeth: Mary’s half-sister, who is framed for being part of a plot and whose life is in jeopardy.
11. Are the characters believable and interesting? Yes, the characters are believable and interesting because they have different personalities and points of view.

13. Good reasons to read the book: It is fascinating to see how Elizabeth survives through Mary’s tortures and threats. It is also interesting to see what Mary will do next and what Elizabeth will do about it.
14. Any reasons not to read the book? If you don’t enjoy journeys through pain and suffering while filled with adventure and joy.
15.Did you like this book or not? And why…. This book is my favorite book because it shows the steps to courage. It also shows the fight for survival and to rule a kingdom.
