Fudge gets obsessed with money and wants to buy New York City with the fake money he has made. His parents have tried many things that failed which is why they gave up. So it is up to Pete, his older brother, to stop Fudge from getting in trouble.

Fudge and his family live in an apartment on the top floor of a hotel in New York City. The book is set in the fall or September. For their vacation they went to Washington D.C. and saw the United Sates Mint to show Fudge what the green stuff (money) is.

     (1) Fudge, the boy who is obsessed with money.

    

(2)Pete, Fudges older brother who is trying to stop his brother.

Yes, the characters are believable and interesting because they are human and by the characteristics they have, makes them funny, annoying, and obedient.
