8. Main conflict in the book: An 18 year old girl named Bella Swan has a boyfriend named Edward Cullen who is a vampire who is deeply in love with Bella. Bella loves Edward back and wants to become a vampire so she can spend eternity with Edward. A vampire named Victoria is out to kill Bella because Edward killed James who was Victoria’s mate so she thinks it’s fair to kill Bella, like mate for mate. Bella also has to choose if she loves her best friend Jacob Black, a werewolf.

9. Setting of the book: (place and time) The setting takes place in Forks, Washington in present time.

10. Main Characters and part they play in the book:
(1) Bella Swan is a human who knows about the world of vampires and about the world of werewolfs. Her boyfriend is a vampire and her best friend is a werewolf. Edward, Bella’s boyfriend and a vampire, and Jacob, Bella’s best friend and a werewolf, can’t be in the same room together because vampires and werewolfs are sworn enemies.
(2) Edward Cullen is Bella’s boyfriend, a vampire, and is very over protective when it comes to Bella hanging out with werewolfs. As a vampire he has a special talent, he can read every ones minds except Bella’s.
(3) Alice Cullen is Edward’s sister in a family of 7 vampires. She has a special talent just like Edward. Alice can see into the future, but only the things that are decided. Alice’s powers are used to track when Victoria is going to attack.
(4) Jacob Black is Bella’s best friend and a werewolf. Jacob is in love with Bella and is trying to make Bella love him back. In the end he makes her choose him or Edward…

11. Are the characters believable and interesting? Certain characters are believable, but all of them are interesting. Bella is believable because she is human unlike some other characters, and she is just a normal teenage girl. All of the characters are interesting by just being who they are with their personality, with what they are, and what they do.

13. Good reasons to read the book: A good reason to read this book is that just when you think you have everything figured out something totally unexpected happens. The book Eclipse is also one of those books that you can’t put down until you are done.

15. Did you like this book or not? And why…. I loved this book and I can easily call it my favorite book. I love this book because it has such a gripping story line and I just couldn’t put the book down until I was done. I loved this book so much that I finished it in one day.
