8.The main conflict in this story: A spoiled fifteen years-old girl named Janie Johnson who one day drank milk from a milk carton in her school. There was always a missing child photo on the carton with a description, and she looked at a three year-old with her brown hair tied in pigtails, wearing a white collared dress with polka dots. Realizing and baffled of the picture, the three year-old was her!
9.The setting of the book:( place and time) It taken place in Pennsylvania and it’s about 1995.
10. Main Characters and they play in the book:
a)Janie Johnson is the main character in the story that tries to uncover the mystery of her own parents kidnapping her. With clues, her memories, as a three year-old girl, Janie tries to remember of who were her real parents are.
b)Reeve is Janie’s next-door neighbor and Janie’s lover. Reeve helps Janie to uncover the mystery of Janie’s parents by traveling to New Jersey. They searched for two days, but seem to find the real parents. Janie and Reeve were in trouble as they returned home.
11.Are the characters believable and interesting? : The characters are believable and interesting because there were important details of the characters’ personality. When Janie uncovered the truth about her mother and father, Janie used skills like a detective, which seemed real, and with the interesting story, the book never ended.
12.One excellent direct quotation from the book: (including who said it, page number, and use quotation marks!) “ Why don’t you want me to see my birth certificate?” Janie (pg. 43)
13. Good reasons to read this book: The good reason to read this book is because the story has a great plot and everything fitted into the situation. To me, it’s one of the interesting mystery books I’ve read because you need to know what’s going to happen next.
14. Any reasons not to read the book: Some reasons why not to read this book is because there were some chapters that were pretty boring, and some parts where it isn’t important to know. I recommend readers not to skip chapters, but the book may repeat details over and over again, which is unnecessary.
15.Did you like this book or not? And why…
I enjoyed the book, not only for the main idea, but it’s the details and how the mystery comes together like a puzzle. Mystery books are one of my favorite genres that are my favorite because the adventures are trilling and exciting. When I read these stories, I NEED to know what’s happening next!
