8. Main conflict in the book:
Claudia and Jamie decide to run away to the Metropolitan museum. They want to stay there until they changed their personality. They weren’t going home until it happened. When they were at the museum they saw a sculpture called “Angel.” The big mystery is, was the statue done by, Michelangelo. Claudia and Jamie now try to find out if it is done by Michelangelo? They go and find Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler, for help. They also search in her files to see if it was done by Michelangelo.

9. Setting of the book: (place and time)
The setting of this story takes place in a little town called Greenwich which is in New York. The setting changes when Claudia and Jamie run away to New York City. It never gives a date, but I guess it could be anywhere from 1970 – 2008

10. Main Characters and part they play in the book:
Claudia and Jamie Kincaid and of course, Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler. Jamie and Claudia are the children who run away to the museum. Most of the story the children were the main characters but Basil E. Frankweiler was telling the story; she was the narrator.

11. Are the characters believable and interesting?
Yes, this could really happen today! Nothing was unbelievable so it was between non-fictional and a realistic fiction book. Jamie and Claudia Kincaid could possibly be out in the world right now.

12. One excellent direct quotation from the book: (include who said it , page number, and use of quotation marks!)
“Jamie turned towards Claudia and gave her an awful look. Claudia paid no attention, for now they have reached what everyone was standing in line to see. A statue of an angel; her arms folded, and she was looking holy. As Claudia passed by, she thought that the angel was the most beautiful, most graceful little statue she had ever seen; she wanted to stop and stare; she almost did, but the crowd wouldn’t let her.” (pg. 52), Said Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler.

13. Good reasons to read the book:
I recommend From the Mixed up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler, because it is exciting, suspenseful, and a great mystery. This book kept me wanting more and was a fun read. I just couldn’t put it down!

14. Any reasons not to read the book?
There is only one. That is that you had to guess on what was happening. It requires thinking.

15. Did you like this book or not? And why….
Yes, I did like this book overall. I liked it because I found it interesting that two kids went on an adventure to New York City. It was also cool to see how they lived in their surroundings. The suspense was the best part. I had a hard time to put the book down and go to bed. Overall I really enjoyed this book and recommend to all.
