Budget. This includes the Reading Intervention staff, 3 Para-Professional I
positions and 1 Attendance Clerk position. Linda Reisz moved for the approval
of the motion to fund all staffing in the Site Council Budget. Sue Fuelling
seconded the motion. The motion was unanimously passed.
COMPUTER SYSTEM UPGRADE PROGRESS REPORT
Enoch
Kwok, Director of Information Technology from the District Office reported that
LCE now has the best available infrastructure, as good as what is available at
the High School. All that remains is the timing of the laptop orders, in order
to try and get the new operating systems Apple is anticipating on releasing
soon. It may be available as soon as March or April. The crucial point is that
the new laptops are available over the summer so teachers can get trained on
them. If the timing works out, it would also be nice having the new laptops
available for the open-houses so the parents can see the outcome of this
highly-visible effort from the Site Council.
SITE COUNCIL NOMINATIONS:
Bonnie,
Linda, and Jacob will gather potential nominations for the 2007-2008 Academic
