Parents and guardians play an important role in a child’s education. The positive attitudes of families about completing school assignments, learning new skills, and “doing your best” can affect how well students achieve. Discuss with children the importance of doing their best on assignments and tests.
Make sure your children get plenty of rest and eat a good breakfast each day of testing.
Discuss upcoming tests with your children and try to reduce pre-test anxieties.
Do not plan activities that will take your children away from school on testing days. Ensure your child is in school everyday unless they are ill. Make-up days will be provided as necessary.
Be sure your child has a positive start to his/her day before leaving home.
