10th Grade Direction Summary
- Folder - Please make sure your name is clearly displayed on the outside
- Report Cards - Xerox of Semester Report Card - You have report cards from 10th grade – Include an explanation of what you are proud of and what you would like to improve
- Best of 9h Grade - Last year you collected samples of work in all your classes. There is a need to edit this material. You were asked to review it and select three pieces of work that you are most proud of and write a description for each one.
- Personal Showcase - You had this in your portfolio from last year. What makes you special or are you good at? Write a description and provide a sample. Add to the collection you started in 9th grade
- Awards and Honors - Add any new awards you have received since last year. Xerox each award and provide a brief description of what it is and why you are proud of it.
- Thinking Skills - Select an activity, project, paper or essay, which demonstrates your ability to think and solve problems. You might use any school assignments which you feel made you think. Include the item and a brief description
- Technology - include an example which shows your highest ability in the use-of technology. Provide a sample and include a description.
- Use of Resources - Select an example, which shows you know how to use your time, money, talents. Provide an explanation for the item you selected.
- Information Literacy - this can be almost anything that uses words- your ability to read, write, interpret maps, data, etc. Any item of homework or any written assignment will be acceptable.
Explanations are on a separate sheet of paper and usually a paragraph or two providing a description of the activity and a reflection on why it is important to you.
You are to have a least one sample to receive full credit.
All work should be word-processed.
