Measure LC Parcel Tax Exemption Forms

The form(s) to use in applying for either the senior citizen or single use (contiguous parcel) parcel tax exemption (Measure LC) are now available for download below.
 
Completed forms that will take effect during the 2013 tax year must be submitted in person to the La Canada Unified School District Business Office (4490 Cornishon Avenue)  between April 1 and  June 28, 2013.
 
When applicants drop off a completed form at the district Business Office in person, they will be given a receipt to document that the application was submitted.
 
Once an applicant's exemption request is approved, no future applications are required in subsequent years.
 
 
To qualify for the senior exemption from Parcel Tax, applicants must:
1) turn 65 years old before July 1 of the application year
2) own and occupy their property as their principal residence
3) apply for the exemption in person at the LCUSD Business Office by June 28th
To qualify for the Contiguous Parcel exemption, applicants must:
 
1) own the contiguous parcels under identical legal ownership
2) make actual use of all the contiguous parcels as one residential or non-residential economic unit
3) apply for the exemption  in person at the LCUSD Business Office by June 28th
