Teacher Collaboration Committee Summary Report
 
 
The Superintendent’s Committee on Teacher Collaboration has completed the following tasks:
  • Researched the collaboration schedules of comparable high performing school districts;
  • Reviewed the teacher work products/outcomes of this year’s collaboration days;
  • Analyzed educational best practices literature regarding teacher collaboration and its impact on teaching and learning;
  • Conducted a parent perception survey regarding the 2011-12 collaboration schedule and its impact on school families;
  • Held an invitational forum to hear from parents and community members who had voiced concerns regarding the implementation of 2011-12 collaboration days;
  • Prepared a recommendation to the LCUSD Governing Board related to the structure and scheduling of collaboration days in 2012-13 based upon all of the data cited above.
