COVID - 19 Information

Reopening LCUSD

As part of efforts to begin reopening our communities, the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health has lifted some of the previous restrictions on reopening. The May 26, 2020 “Safer at Work and the Community” Public Health Order officially ended the requirement for all but essential workers to stay at home, allowing many of our staff to return to work in safe and healthy surroundings. 

 

The District Office remains closed to the public through July 24, 2020, except by appointment.  Beginning July 27, 2020, the District Office will reopen to the public and require visitors to wear masks upon entering offices and adhere to social distancing protocols. Details regarding site reopenings will be forthcoming from Superintendent, Wendy Sinnette, as well as the site principals. We hope that you are staying healthy and we look forward to seeing you again in 2020-21.

 

Information for Staff Regarding Available COVID-19 Leaves

On March 18, 2020 the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA) was signed into law. FFCRA requires school districts and other certain employers to provide their employees with paid sick leave or expanded family and medical leave for specified reasons related to COVID-19. Details regarding COVID-19 related leaves available to staff are detailed here, and the Federal Qualifying Criteria poster can be found at the bottom of this page. LCUSD employees are requested to report any absences that are COVID-19 related so that the district may seek reimbursement under FFCRA.
