To help during this difficult time, GSGLA has created a Wildfire Resources page, where you can find support, updates, and ways to get involved. We are also working closely with our regional volunteers to assess the needs of troops and families in the most impacted areas.

Home Bank LA 
In response to the devastating fires that swept through Los Angeles, A Sense of Home (ASOH) launched Home Bank LA, a new initiative to support survivors of the LA fires who have lost everything.
All funds go directly into urgently creating home environments for victims of the fires. You will receive updates and photos as evacuees settle into their new home.
LCF Community Center
The Community Center is open for distribution of donated items to those who have been affected by the fires. We are in need of volunteers and monetary donations. Hours: M-F 8:30 am - 5 pm and Saturday 10 am - 4 pm
Donations: We are thankful for the generous donations from our community. We are no longer accepting adult clothing at this time.
We do need:
  • Water
  • Non-perishable food (soups, protein bars, etc)
  • Medications (pain killers, cold/cough meds)
  • Pet carriers/food/collars/leashes
  • Notebooks/Pens/Scissors
  • Baby supplies (formula/baby wipes/diapers)
  • Kids toys/activities
  • Towels/blankets/air mattresses
  • NEW bras, underwear and socks
  • Small appliances  (coffee makers, toasters, etc.)

The devastating Eaton Fire has left a lasting mark on our community, displacing many and causing unimaginable losses. Among those affected are several of our beloved teachers, retired teachers and staff members, who have lost their homes and personal belongings in this tragedy.

As we rally together to support our neighbors, we ask for your help to assist these educators who play such a vital role in shaping our children’s futures. They have given so much to our students and our community, and now they need us to step up for them.
