La Cañada Unified School District is dedicated to providing the strongest English Language Development Program for all of our English language learners. The Master Plan for English Language Learners is the guide to identify, serve and monitor the progress of English language learners who are not fully proficient upon enrollment. We welcome them and understand that they face different type of challenges in our schools. We support them through a variety of programs and resources. It takes 3-5 years to become fluent in another language and we partner with parents to help them learn English as quickly as possible.
