English 4 is a rigorous survey course in classic and contemporary literature. Seniors will read a variety of texts representing the genres of novel, /short story, drama, poetry, and non-fiction. The literature will provide the content/reading foundation from which students will continue to craft their listening, speaking, and writing (critical thinking) skills. A major feature of English 4 is the year-long senior project. The aim of this project is to promote autonomy, mastery, and purpose in the learning process. Seniors choose a topic to research and explore through experiential application, culminating in a presentation delivered at the end of the year.
