In order to minimize the challenges of meal service during a pandemic, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) announced that the La Canada Unified School District may provide meals at no cost to all children in the community through December 31, 2020.
On August 11, 2020, Christina Hale-Elliott, LCUSD’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion consultant, presented to the Governing Board and the community two key documents she has been working on throughout the 2019-20 school year. The two documents are for public review and reference.

As LCUSD provided in the Spring, the District is pleased to once again provide Grab and Go Lunches for students at all grade levels during the school closure. Unfortunately, the Federal Government is no longer providing funds to offset the cost of meals for all students. However, we are setting the cost at $3.50 per lunch for all grade levels.
Beginning August 17th, lunches can be picked up at the La Canada High School snack shop near the cafeteria. Parents/Guardians are welcome to pick-up lunches for their children. The student’s lunch number will be required.
