This week our hybrid 4th and 5th-grade students came back to campus. The experience began with school tours, even some in the rain on Wednesday! Our teachers and staff are excited to see the students return and meet their students in person. On Monday, March 8th, our hybrid 6th graders return.

The LCUSD COVID Compliance Team has prepared a dashboard to support timely and transparent information related to known COVID-19 cases connected to our school campuses while maintaining privacy and confidentiality. The dashboard will be updated when cases are confirmed. You can find this new dashboard in the top right of the district website (www.lcusd.net) under COVID-19, then choose dashboard. In order to minimize the challenges of meal service during a pandemic, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) announced that the La Canada Unified School District may provide meals at no cost to all children in the community through June 30, 2021.
LCUSD partnered again with Panorama Ed to deliver back to school surveys. Traditionally these were given in January with topics related to school culture, climate, safety, and classroom and school experiences. In response to the unique learning environment, the survey team made adjustments to check in with staff and students to ensure timely resource allocation as we get ready for the second half of the school year. As part of our Family Learning Series, we will be hosting a Listening Session on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion on Monday, November 9th from 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm and again on Thursday, November 12th from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm. This webinar will provide attendees the opportunity to share their views regarding the District’s work so far on the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiative.
