The La Cañada Unified School District administrative team has selected Mr. Kevin Martin to receive the 2023 Golden Apple Award. Sponsored by the Association of California School Administrators, the award honors outstanding community leaders throughout the state.

LCUSD is inviting all families to learn about changes to the LCHS 7-12 math pathways starting with the incoming 7th-grade class in the 2023-24 school year. This workshop will be held at La Cañada High School on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the LCHS Cafeteria. Although all families are welcome to attend, this workshop will be most applicable to current 5th through 11th-grade students. After the presentation, the staff will answer parent questions. The slides from the presentation will be posted on the District's and LCHS 7-12 websites following the meeting. Looking forward to seeing you there!

The Foothill Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA) Community Advisory Committee (CAC) is pleased to invite you to a parent training on January 17, 2023 from 6:00-7:00 PM via Zoom focused on how to assist children with managing feelings of anxiety.

On Tuesday, November 29, 2022, LCUSD hosted a Family Learning Series entitled “What Matters for College and Career”. The workshop was presented by Jennifer Lindholm, PH.D., Assistant Dean of Undergraduate Education & Director, Honors Programs; University of California, Los Angeles. Using research that included perspectives of university students and faculty, and competitive employers, the workshop engaged families in considering approaches to learning, ways of being, and habits of doing, that can help children and youth thrive now and in their future college and career pursuits.

Our food services team is working on updating our systems for point of sale and family account access. Phase one of this upgrade includes a new nutrition website and menu. You'll find the monthly menus as well as nutrition and wellness resources. This menu is also linked in the student and parent portals on the top left of the website.

All schools will again provide free lunch, and now breakfast has been added. Click to read more about the program and times for breakfast.

All families will need to complete the annual data confirmation and back-to-school registration process via Aeries and the Parent Portal. You will receive an email with a reminder and directions. This will ensure all contact information is correct, forms and policies are reviewed, and any authorization changes are made.
