Caroline Que Anderson
Caroline Que Anderson was elected to the La Cañada Unified School District Board of Education in 2020, becoming the first Asian American woman to serve on the board. A proud La Cañada Flintridge native, Caroline moved to the Sagebrush area from Glendale when she began middle school and has called this community home ever since. She and her husband are the proud parents of two current La Cañada High School students and their dog, Fleetwood.
Caroline brings heart, collaboration, and a deep sense of community to her role on the board. Known for her grassroots approach and ability to connect with families, teachers, and students, she works to ensure every student has the opportunity to thrive. Her volunteer service spans every level of LCUSD, where she has held leadership roles with the PTA, PTSA, and PTA Council, including serving as President of Palm Crest Elementary PTA. She also spent six years on the Board of Directors for the La Cañada Flintridge Educational Foundation, including one year as President, helping raise more than $2 million annually for local schools.
She has contributed her time and insight to many district committees, including LCAP, Wellness, and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, and played an instrumental role in the successful passage of both the 2020 Measure LC Parcel Tax and the 2017 Measure LCF Bond.
Beyond LCUSD, Caroline’s dedication to service extends throughout the community. She serves on the Executive Boards of the Kiwanis Club of La Cañada, the Sister Cities Association, and the Foothill Community Scholarship Foundation. She is also active with the La Cañada Flintridge Tournament of Roses, Junior Women’s Club, and Chinese American Parents Club, and serves as an Ambassador for the La Cañada Flintridge Chamber of Commerce.
Outside of La Cañada Flintridge, Caroline continues to make a positive impact through regional and statewide leadership. She serves on the Board of the Los Angeles County School Trustees Association (LACSTA) and is a member of the Asian Pacific Islander School Board Members Association, the National Women’s Political Caucus – Pasadena Chapter, the Chinese Elected Officials Association, and APPI Lead, helping advance leadership and representation across communities.
Caroline’s commitment to education and service has been widely recognized. In 2023, she was named Congressional Woman of the Year by Congresswoman Judy Chu and Woman of the Year by Assemblymember Chris Holden. That same year, she received the Community Service Person of the Year from the La Cañada Flintridge Chamber of Commerce, the Distinguished Service Award from Kiwanis, and the Spirit of Outstanding Service Award from LCFEF. In 2025, she received the Les Tupper Individual Award for her dedication to youth, education, and civic leadership.
Before her election to the Board, Caroline worked as a Human Resources Manager for a single-family wealth management firm in Downtown Los Angeles
