This course is being brought to La Canada High School by a joint agreement with Pasadena City College. This is a college class taught by faculty from Pasadena City College. Enrollment and participation is based upon approval of LCHS and PCC administration and faculty. Multivariable Calculus is based upon the study of the following mathematical concepts: Parametric equations, polar coordinates, vectors and vector calculus, partial differentiation, multiple integration, Green’s theorem, divergence theorem of Gauss, Stokes’ theorem. Participation in this class is also based upon enrollment in a second semester class Linear Algebra.
